Country Hills Church Children's Ministry
Nursery: Our nursery is for children from birth up to about two and a half years old. It is staffed by at least two adults to care for your children as well as youth helpers to play with and entertain your young ones. Each parent/child will be assigned a pager so that we can be in contact with them if necessary during the service. Parents are welcome to come to the nursery if their child needs them or if there is a need to feed a child.
Busy Bees - Ages 3-4: As your child grows we like to grow with them. So when they reach the age of 3-4 years we have a special place for them. A place where they are loved by teachers who plan lessons and activities with them in mind. This class is very “activity based” with children doing several different activities throughout the morning Bible lesson. Significant time is spent playing; since playing is how this age group learns best.
The Lions Den - JK-Gr.1: Welcome to the class where the children learn to stand like Daniel did. Here the children are learning about “Living Like Jesus”. In this class they are learning in a slightly more structured way. They listen to creatively told stories, do fun crafts, play games and participate in exciting activities, all aimed at helping them grow to be more like Jesus.
Children’s Worship – Gr.2 and up: In this class the children learn what it means to be like Jesus in interesting and entertaining ways. They might do a service project one month or work on crafts, play games or talk about serious situations or issues in their lives or the world around them. We try to tackle the issues that kids face together in a meaningful, relevant way.
“Vegged Out” Monday Afternoon Kids Club: Here is a chance for kids to come into the church for pure fun and enjoyment. We open our church between 4pm and 6pm and give kids the chance to be just kids. We love to give them the opportunity just to hang out with their peers and more importantly, with positive adult role models who will love them unconditionally. This is one way we can give back to our community and it gives the kids in our church the opportunity to connect with the kids from our community.
