Events and Activities For Families

This Week for Preschoolers

Story: King Josiah tells others to go God’s way, even though he is young. – 2 Chronicles 34
Say This: Whose way is perfect? God’s way is perfect.
Remember This: “God’s way is perfect.” – 2 Samuel 22:31, NIrV
Do This At Cuddle Time: Add a toy to bath time. Use a bath crayon to draw an arrow on the tub showing your child which way the toy can go. Wipe away the arrow and draw another one going the opposite direction. Change up the arrow a few times during bath time while your child plays with the toy, making it follow the arrow. Talk about how God tells us the right way to go, too, but it’s up to us to choose to go God’s way.

This Week for Elementary Kids

Story: Peter Says That Jesus Is the Messiah – Matthew 16:13-20
Say This: Practice praying to God.
Remember This: “Training the body has some value. But being godly has value in every way. It promises help for the life you are now living and the life to come.” – 1 Timothy 4:8, NIrV
Do This At Bed Time: Love God and love others. What are some practical ways that you can show love to God and to others? It doesn’t mean that you won’t face stormy situations—but it does mean that God will equip you to weather them without falling apart. Pray that you will make choices this week that build a strong foundation by showing love to God and to others.

This Week for Preteens

Story: Peter Says That Jesus Is the Messiah – Matthew 16:13-20
Ask This: How do you pray to God?
Remember This: “Training the body has some value. But being godly has value in every way. It promises help for the life you are now living and the life to come.” – 1 Timothy 4:8, NIrV

We’re back next week!  Our event on May 26th will feature a classic game of Scatagoies, so start reading your dictionary before bed now to prepare!  See you soon!
