Paralympics, Joy, & Christmas

So today will be a short post by way of words, but something to think about if you watch the video posted here.

Here’s what I thought about after watching this… If they can do that, why am I not at the gym every day? If they can do that, what am I doing with my life? If I’m inspired by this video to really live, bless others, and take stock of how truly blessed I am… how much more inspired should I be with the passage below. So here (below) is how I want to spend Christmas… this is an encouragment from the prophet Nehemiah to Israel as they began a time of celebration (for us this would be Christmas)…

“Go and celebrate with a feast of rich foods and sweet drinks, and share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared. This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!” Neh. 8:10
